Ours Privacy and Freshpaint sell the same core job: getting Google and Meta the conversions they need to optimize your ads, without sending them patient data. This page compares them on price, contracts, features and setup, with a source for every fact.
Prepared by Redacted, which makes an alternative to Freshpaint and Ours Privacy priced for early-stage founders and healthcare practices.
Fact-checked October 2026.
Freshpaint fits a hospital system, health plan or large provider group: consent management in the base plan, EHR appointment matching on the top tier (it "typically takes 4-6 weeks"(opens in a new tab) to implement), and support until 8pm ET on weekdays.
A digital health company operating at scale or a multi-location group is the better fit for Ours Privacy, with its public documentation, larger integration catalog, SOC 2 report covering all five trust criteria and one-hour response target on critical issues.
For an early-stage founder or a single practice, price usually decides it, and neither publishes one. Redacted does: $99 to $299 a month for up to 10,000 monthly tracked users, month to month, with the BAA and setup included. It connects fewer tools than either.
Already on one of them? Switching to the other mid-contract is rarely worth it (see why).
Freshpaint(opens in a new tab) was founded in 2019 and went through Y Combinator's Summer 2019 batch(opens in a new tab). It says it is "Trusted by 300+ healthcare organizations"(opens in a new tab), and Ray Mina has been CEO since March 2026(opens in a new tab).
Ours Privacy(opens in a new tab) is a customer data platform for healthcare. It raised a $15 million Series A(opens in a new tab) in August 2026 and says it serves "over 200 healthcare organizations"(opens in a new tab).
Each scales to large, complex healthcare marketing. Freshpaint's top tier, Scale, is "Built for enterprise-wide deployment"(opens in a new tab). Ours Privacy's Enterprise tier is "For large health systems, MSOs, DSOs, and national digital health companies operating at scale"(opens in a new tab), and its plans run past one million monthly tracked users.
Their customer stories match. Freshpaint's case studies feature hospital and physician groups (Baptist Health(opens in a new tab), CU Medicine(opens in a new tab), Columbus Regional Health(opens in a new tab)), specialty groups (Allergy Partners(opens in a new tab), OrthoCarolina(opens in a new tab)), health plans including a top-10 national payer(opens in a new tab), and digital health companies such as Osmind(opens in a new tab) and Modern Health(opens in a new tab). Ours Privacy's homepage(opens in a new tab) features Maven Clinic(opens in a new tab), Allara(opens in a new tab), Midi Health(opens in a new tab), Medi Weightloss(opens in a new tab) and Oceans Healthcare(opens in a new tab), and its case studies cover MoldCo(opens in a new tab) and Revero(opens in a new tab).
Each also has an entry tier, and neither prices it publicly. Ours Privacy's Essential covers up to 50,000 monthly tracked users and connects Google Ads, Meta, GA4 and one more destination; call tracking, scheduling, form and CRM integrations start at the next tier, Core (pricing(opens in a new tab)). Freshpaint's Comply includes Google, Meta and GA4, consent management and web analytics. In an August 2026 review, Growdent(opens in a new tab), the agency that runs Ours Privacy for a multi-location dental group, says it fits "DSOs and multi-location dental groups; larger independent dental practices; practices spending meaningfully on Google Ads or Meta"(opens in a new tab), and adds: "For a tiny practice with low traffic and a very small ad budget, I would look carefully at the economics."(opens in a new tab)

The contract row reflects what each vendor publishes: Freshpaint posts its standard terms, and Ours Privacy doesn't. The price rows don't compare like for like: the Freshpaint and Ours Privacy figures are for plans and volumes their sources don't state, and Redacted's plans cover up to 10,000 monthly tracked users.
Vendr(opens in a new tab), which tracks what companies pay for software, puts the median of five Freshpaint purchases at $35,000 a year, on a page dated 2025. A buyer for a pre-launch medical service posted the same figure on Reddit in 2025: "Freshpaint is $35k which is a lot for a pre-launch medical service."(opens in a new tab) The "$599/mo"(opens in a new tab) that SaaSpartout(opens in a new tab) lists for Freshpaint isn't on any Freshpaint page we could find from 2021 on.
We found no public purchase data for Ours Privacy. In its August 2026 review, Growdent budgets "low to mid four figures per month"(opens in a new tab) for a small-to-medium implementation, says the real price depends on "traffic, integrations and scope"(opens in a new tab). Its two G2 reviewers both raise cost: a reviewer G2 lists as a founder in marketing and advertising wrote in September 2026 that it "can be harder to justify"(opens in a new tab) for "a small single-location practice/clinic with a modest budget"(opens in a new tab), and a small-business reviewer wrote in October 2026 that the price "can be high if just getting started without a ton of volume"(opens in a new tab).
A buyer who had talked to both summed it up on Reddit in October 2026: "neither contract is cheap."(opens in a new tab)
Ours Privacy's buyer's guide says the right vendor should offer "full transparency on pricing"(opens in a new tab) and tells buyers to ask whether payment is "Monthly, quarterly, annual?"(opens in a new tab) Ask both vendors.

| Integrations | Says "100+"; its catalog shows 54 (integrations(opens in a new tab)) | Says "50+" and "over 150+" on different pages, and "hundreds of systems" including custom setups it doesn't list (integrations(opens in a new tab)); its catalog shows 89 destinations and 82 sources (destinations(opens in a new tab)) |

| Connecting Google Ads | Sign in with Google. Its last archived public guide (April 2026(opens in a new tab)) has you create new conversion actions, and points to a separate Google Ads destination for reusing your existing setup; Freshpaint now says its team handles setup, "including migrating your existing tags, setting up integrations" (FAQ(opens in a new tab)) | Sign in with Google; a "Sync" button creates or links conversion actions, including ones you already have (docs(opens in a new tab)) |

If your stack is Google Ads, Meta and a booking form, you won't use most of this table. Redacted starts at $99 a month, month to month.
Each vendor quotes setup time differently from page to page. Freshpaint says "Most customers are up and running in about three weeks"(opens in a new tab); Ours Privacy says "most teams are live in under two weeks"(opens in a new tab). Ask each what your site needs for that to hold.
Independent reviews are scarce, so treat each one as a single account. Freshpaint has 3 reviews on G2(opens in a new tab) (4.5 of 5, the newest from May 2023, 2 marked incentivized), 1 on Capterra(opens in a new tab) (4.0) and 3 ratings on TrustRadius(opens in a new tab) (6.3 of 10).
Ours Privacy has 2 reviews on G2(opens in a new tab) (5 of 5, September and October 2026) and Growdent's long-form review, whose author appears to have written one of them. One G2 reviewer, listed as a founder in marketing and advertising, wrote in September 2026: "If you've used Google Tag Manager, it works the same way, so there was almost no learning curve."(opens in a new tab) Both raise cost, as the price section shows. The Reddit buyer comparing the two in October 2026 had heard "mixed reviews around the audience features for each"(opens in a new tab).
Every public Freshpaint review is collected on Freshpaint reviews.
Leaving Freshpaint, start with your order form. By default the contract renews for the same length unless you give written notice at least 30 days before it ends, and the terms allow no termination for convenience. Request your data in writing within five business days of the contract ending: the terms promise a free final extract within 30 business days of that request, after which Freshpaint may delete it (Terms(opens in a new tab) §8.4).
Leaving Ours Privacy, ask for the notice period and the export path before you sign, because its contract terms aren't published. It keeps event data "without a predefined limit"(opens in a new tab) by default.
Either way you reconnect Google Ads and Meta in the new tool. Ours Privacy's docs say you can reuse conversion actions already in Google Ads (docs(opens in a new tab)), and Freshpaint says its team migrates existing tags (FAQ(opens in a new tab)). If you use Freshpaint's consent manager, plan its replacement; Ours Privacy works with outside consent tools on every tier, and its own is an Enterprise add-on.
Ours Privacy says a move from Freshpaint brings "No loss of performance or relearning"(opens in a new tab). Any migration can cost a few days, though: Growdent, moving a dental group onto Ours Privacy from its earlier setup, reported in August 2026 "a few days of uneven performance"(opens in a new tab), back on track "in less than a week"(opens in a new tab).
The two cover much of the same ground, so moving between them rarely pays for the disruption unless one lacks something you need. If cost is why you're looking and you have under 10,000 monthly tracked users, Redacted starts at $99 a month.
Yes, if you have someone technical and the time. The usual build is server-side Google Tag Manager on a server you control, set up to strip names, emails, IP addresses and health details before anything reaches Google or Meta. You'd also need a BAA with whoever hosts it: Google's covers the Google Cloud products it lists(opens in a new tab), and Tag Manager isn't one of them. People who have tried describe the cost in time. In 2026 an in-house healthcare marketer wrote that it had "taken me almost a month to do it myself"(opens in a new tab), and a freelancer that you're "still building custom GTM tags and managing servers"(opens in a new tab). One agency found in 2024 that moving Tag Manager server-side and anonymizing IP addresses "wasn't enough for the lawyers"(opens in a new tab) at a large client. Freshpaint, Ours Privacy and Redacted each sell that work as a service and sign the BAA.
Each signs a BAA and has a SOC 2 Type II audit: Freshpaint's covers the Security criterion (trust center(opens in a new tab)), Ours Privacy's all five trust criteria (security(opens in a new tab)). No tool makes your tracking compliant on its own, ours included. In an October 2026 post, Social Catnip(opens in a new tab), an agency that installs Ours Privacy, puts it this way: "Compliance is still shared between the vendor and you."(opens in a new tab) Redacted signs a BAA on every plan and does not have a SOC 2 report.
Neither publishes a price. Vendr's 2025 page puts the median of five Freshpaint purchases at $35,000 a year, plans and volumes not shown (Vendr(opens in a new tab)), and an agency's August 2026 review estimates "low to mid four figures per month"(opens in a new tab) for a small-to-medium Ours Privacy setup (Growdent(opens in a new tab)).
With Freshpaint you sign an order form for a set term, which by default renews for the same length; the terms allow no termination for convenience (Terms(opens in a new tab)). Ours Privacy doesn't publish its terms; customers sign a Master Services Agreement and a BAA (docs(opens in a new tab)). Redacted is month to month.
Freshpaint can charge overage once you pass your contracted monthly tracked users two months running, for the rest of the term unless the order form says otherwise, and may raise fees at renewal (Terms(opens in a new tab) §4). Ours Privacy prices on tracked users, integrations and support, and publishes no overage policy. Redacted's plans step from 1,000 to 2,000 to 10,000 monthly tracked users at $99, $199 and $299.
Ours Privacy connects Cal.com and Calendly from its Core tier, and its docs show how to count bookings from Acuity, SimplePractice, Jane App, IntakeQ and Vagaro on your own page (docs(opens in a new tab)). Freshpaint's catalog lists Epic MyChart and Clockwise under Scheduling (integrations(opens in a new tab)); ask about anything else on the demo.
Yes, through a call-tracking tool. Ours Privacy connects CallRail, CallTrackingMetrics and Invoca from Core (pricing(opens in a new tab)). Freshpaint's catalog lists CallRail, CallTrackingMetrics, Invoca and Marchex, without saying which tier includes them (integrations(opens in a new tab)).
Yes. GA4 is in Freshpaint's entry tier (pricing(opens in a new tab)) and among the destinations on Ours Privacy's Essential tier (pricing(opens in a new tab)).
Freshpaint runs a partner program with "over 50+ agency partners"(opens in a new tab). Ours Privacy lets one login switch between client organizations (docs(opens in a new tab)), and each organization can have its own sandbox (sandbox(opens in a new tab)).
Neither publishes a price for its entry tier, and Ours Privacy's Essential leaves call tracking, scheduling, form and CRM integrations to Core. The agency that runs Ours Privacy for a dental group says in its August 2026 review that for a tiny practice it "would look carefully at the economics"(opens in a new tab). Redacted is priced for this buyer: from $99 a month, month to month, with the BAA included. It connects fewer tools than either.
No. Freshpaint and Ours Privacy are trademarks of their owners. Redacted is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by either. This page compares the products for general information and is not legal advice.
We read each vendor's pricing page, terms, service-level page, trust center, documentation and changelog on October 27, 2026, logged out, on their US sites, and counted reviews on G2, Capterra and TrustRadius the same day; where a site blocked our reader, we used its search listing. Freshpaint's documentation requires a customer login, so its Google and Meta setup steps here come from its last archived public copies (April and July 2026). Prices are figures buyers and an agency have reported; neither vendor publishes one. Each fact links to its source.
